1. ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS?

If you want to study English for the first time, this is the course for you. All concepts, even the simplest, are explained slowly, in Italian, using clear examples of everyday language. Don't be surprised if you need a lot of time, or listen to the lessons multiple times. I created the video course for this!

1.1. First Steps?

Start here if you have never studied English, or if you really want to start from the ground up. Together we'll look at the first words and the first verbs. Please don't skip things that aren't clear! Memorize all the words that are present in these first lessons, because they will be presented very often throughout the course.

1.2. Go On?

Now that we've dusted off some vocabulary and reviewed how to use pronouns and present verb, let's add a few bits. In this section we will see how to best use the present simple to express habits, how to talk about possession, we will see another type of present, which is used to talk about things that are happening right now. Later, we will see together how adjectives are used in English (it is much easier than in Italian!) And we will find out which form to use to talk about what we know or don't know how to do!

1.3. Past and Future?

We are starting to gain confidence in the present, but we must also be able to talk about what happened in 2007, or where I will go on vacation next year! So let's see how to use the past simple, to talk about all the things that happened in a moment in the past, and the future simple, the first form of the future (and the simplest) that can help us in many situations!

2. INTERMEDIATES?

You can start from this section if you have already studied English and if your goal is to deepen or improve your English. The topics are repeated compared to the first part of the course, but the lessons are faster, the examples richer and the vocabulary used is more advanced.

2.1 Let us begin well?

In these first lessons of the intermediate part we will review all the things dealt with in the section dedicated to beginners, but with examples closer to the spoken language and presented with a richer and more in-depth vocabulary. In addition, for many topics, we will go into more detail on any special exceptions or uses. However, the recommendations do not change: if you don't know a word, memorize it before moving on!

2.2. All About The Past?

In English there are many types of past, but unlike Italian, we do not choose which one to use based on proximity to the present. In English, verbs are chosen based on their relationship with the other verbs in the sentence. We have already seen the past simple, which is the most used past tense, and you will see that many of the past tenses that we will present in this unit are used only if there is already a past simple in the sentence, which functions as a "main" past tense. In the last exercise of this lesson you will find exercises that review all the forms studied, present and past!

2.3. To count or not to count??

In English there is a classification of names that does not exist in Italian: we must in fact ask ourselves if a certain name is “accounting” or “non-accounting”, before deciding how to use it. Let's see them together!

2.4. I see the future!?

In the beginners section we have seen the future simple, the one formed with WILL, but in reality in English there are several ways to express the future. We will discover them together!

2.5. Everyone Hates Phrasal Verbs?

This topic always receives the antipathy of all! These poor phrasal verbs don't do it on purpose, but they change too much and too often, just a small word next to it to upset the meaning of a verb! Although it is a titanic undertaking to learn them all, let's see together the general rules with which to train them, and discover the most used!

2.6. Describe and Compare?

In this lesson we will see together how to use adjectives and adverbs to describe and compare nouns and actions!

2.7. Modals?

Modal verbs are very simple to use, but since they don't exist in Italian, they can give us a hard time. Let's see them together.

2.8. Passive?

While it is certainly not the most used form, it can be useful to know how to form passive verbs. It is not difficult!

2.9. Conditinals?

In Italian we have many complex verb forms that are used to talk about hypotheses, such as the conditional and the subjunctive. In English, simple tenses are used to talk about hypothetical events, which you already know, but combined with each other in a particular way. Let's see them together. The lesson ends with a total revision of all the tenses we have seen together!
